About

The Canadian Committee of Graduate Students in Education/ Le Comité canadien des étudiants diplômés en éducation (CCGSE/CCÉDÉ) is the student caucus of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE). Made up of Canadian and international students engaged in MA, M.Ed, Ph.D, or Ed.D programs, CCGSE represents Canada’s First Nations, over 30 Canadian universities, and both of Canada’s official languages.

The activities of CCGSE are oriented towards facilitating communication, research collaboration, and networking among students. This CCGSE community on facebook, it is hoped, will help us to get to know each other better, forge friendships, seek and receive help and share ideas.

The activities of CCGSE/CCÉDÉ:

As part of the annual conference, CCGSE hosts roundtables, poster sessions and professional development seminars for graduate students. Many distinguished and junior faculty members kindly volunteer to serve as discussants at these sessions.

The CCGSE listserv is an opportunity for graduate students across Canada to share papers, ideas, problems, and solutions related to our professional development.

Becoming part of the volunteer executive of CCGSE is a great opportunity to be actively involved in the activities of CCGSE, gain valuable experience, make friends, and build your CV.

The Canadian Journal for New Scholars in Education / Revue canadienne des jeunes chercheures et chercheurs en éducation (CJNSE/RCJCÉ) is a bi-lingual, bi-annual, non-blind, peer reviewed journal sponsored by the Canadian Committee of Graduate Students in Education. The CJNSE/ RCJCE is solely managed by graduate students with the participation of three faculty members who serve as advisory editors. The highlight of the journal is the mentoring process-the authors whose submissions have been accepted will be mentored through the publishing process by the editorial team; thereby enabling them to gain valuable publication experience.
